Scope and content

Contains printed and other material relating to land reclamation, polders, sea defences and flood protection in the Netherlands. Material deals in particular with the Delata Project (flood prevention in the Scheldt delta), the work of the Delft Hydraulics Laboratory, the Ijselmeer (Zuider Zee), and the Haringvliet. The only evidence of a visit by JH is a menu card for a dinner at the Hotel Wittebrug, 27/6/66, and annotations on the original folder. The contents also include a road map of the Netherlands.
