Scope and content

Contains MS notes, maps and correspondence which primarily relate to Wenhaston footpath no 11 and Blyford footpath no 6. JH was contesting the diversion of footpaths alongside the River Bly, and he proposed that the footpaths were moved away from the river. Suffolk County Council had proposed a diversion from one side of the river to the other and this would take place between a point to the north-west of Watermill Farm and Blyford Bridge. Correspondence with concerned environmental groups is included as well as with Oxfordshire County Council concerning the handling of eroded footpaths on river banks, and their reinstatement.
