Salinger remarks on the miserable winter in both the UK and US. He describes how cutting one’s own hair helps avoid having to make small talk with barbers and that P.G. Wodehouse reportedly avoided living anywhere above the 1st floor as he didn’t know what to say to the lift boy.
Salinger remembers fondly the Safirs and another family who took him in whilst he was in military school. Colleen is having a graduation party and going into a quilting partnership.
Includes envelope.
