This collection was donated by Pauline Clarke to the Curriculum Learning Resources Collection (CLRC) at UEA in 1985, and subsequently transferred to the Archives.
Scope and content
Contains original ink drawings by Cecil Mary Leslie (1900-1980) for books by the children's author Pauline Clarke. The drawings refer to the following titles published in the 1950s and 1960s: 'James the Policeman'; 'James and the Robbers'; 'James and the Smugglers'; 'James and the Black Van'; 'The boy with the Erpingham Hood' (a story of Norwich in the time of Henry V); and 'Smith’s Hoard' (a story based on the finding of the Snettisham Torc).
