Discusses his opinion on Lessing's Four Gated City. Mentions that Lessing was angry at him "last time" because he had "doubted that you invented all those books for The Golden Notebook". Writes that he "can't see" Martha, that her characterisation is like "she has [deletion] her back to us all the time".

Boxing Day 72".
