Judith Austin Mills writes to Doris Lessing, in reply to a letter from Lessing. Mentions Austin Mills' mother and Flannery O'Connor. Austin Mills' oblique and prolix style resists simple interpretation: "So much depends as easily on the improbable, brusque embrace as the reproduced masterwork. In one page which alludes to [Flannery] O'Connor, my mother, you, and me, I perceive the lovely, volatile symmetry characteristic of your published style. And I have my small prize proving that somebody's sense of charity is no fiction."
