Contains a copy of the report 'Developing Publishing in Ireland' written by CP and Peter West, 16.6.87, papers relating to the report and to CP’s visits to Ireland for the launch of this report at the offices of the Arts Council in Dublin.
The report comprised individual reports on five Irish publishers: Wolfhound Press, O’Brien Press, Brandon Books, Coisceim, and Attic Press. Supporting documentation is included.
A press cutting reports CP as having said there was insufficient internationalism in Irish publishing and he called for the type of book awards which would attract media attention (The Irish Times, 12.8.88).
