Scope and content
Refers to the Atlantic College project and the first school of the project, the British College, which was opened at St. Donat's Castle, Glamorgan, South Wales in 9/62. The College was part of an international school for sixth formers. SZ came to hear of the project through Lord Brabourne, son-in-law to Earl Mountbatten. Included are prospectuses and progress reports on the school, and correspondence which is aimed at gaining financial support for the school.

SZ assists Robert Blackburn, the Deputy Headmaster of the school, in making contacts in the United States for the support of the school. Blackburn travels to the United States to strengthen ties with the Atlantic Committee set up for the development of Atlantic schools in the United States. Henry Kissinger (Harvard University, Centre for International Studies), Isidor Rabi (Columbia University), Detlev Bronk (Rockefeller Institute), and James Killian and Jerome Wiesner (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) are approached to provide further contacts and support for the school. The Ford Foundation and Rockefeller Institute, amongst others, are approached for financial grants.
