The Aga was the central focus point in the farmhouse at Walnut Tree Farm as it provided a central source of heating. RD made frequent reference to this, for instance, in the radio programme 'The House'.
This file contains papers relating to a court case hearing between RD and H. Warner & Son Ltd (Mechanical, Water & Electrical Engineers). RD was unhappy about the service he received. There finally appeared to be an admission with the type and grade of kerosene used in the Aga. A higher grade 'blue' paraffin was recommended.
