Scope and content
October 1952 issue with the first preview of the designs and plans for the UNESCO Headquarters building, Paris. The article compares the UNESCO design with the UN Headquarters building, New York and discusses the history of the project, from the initial design by Eugene Beaudoin to the formation of the Breuer - Zehrfuss - Nervi team and the involvement of the UNESCO advisory "Panel of Five". The article discusses the aesthetic qualities of the design and structure of the building.
