Pritchard reviews his first year with [the Furniture Development Council]. He says the slow start was inevitable as time was needed to weld the individuals into a team. In affect, [the F.D.C.] has probably only spent six or seven months out of the past year actually working towards its goals, as so much time was spent on finding premises and staff. However, he can now see more clearly the direction in which [the F.D.C.] is going and they should concentrate on education, research into performance tests, and raising technical efficiency.
